Nestled along the stunning Costa Blanca, Alicante is the perfect blend of rich history, vibrant culture, and sun-drenched beaches. I love wandering through the picturesque streets of the old town, checking out Castillo de Santa Barbara, and taking in the views from La Ereta Park. In fact, I reckon Alicante is one of the most underrated cities in Spain.
And because having a lovely place to stay after a day of exploring Alicante is so important to me, I’ve only included hotels that I myself have or would stay at.
Let me take you through some of the best hotels in Alicante, each one promises a unique and memorable stay.
1. Hotel Hospes Amérigo

5. AC Hotel Alicante by Marriott

If you’d prefer a modern urban experience, AC Hotel Alicante by Marriott delivers with its sleek design and convenient location. Situated near the city center and the commercial district, this hotel is perfect for both business travelers and tourists.
The minimalist rooms offer comfort and functionality, with plush bedding and ergonomic workspaces. When you stay here, be sure to take advantage of the rooftop pool, which offers panoramic city views, or visit the well-equipped gym.
And the AC Lounge here boasts a relaxed atmosphere for enjoying light bites and cocktails. The hotel is located around a mile from most of Alicante’s attractions, including Postiguet Beach.
Other Alicante hotels we were recommended but haven’t stayed at yet:
- Hotel Almirante – a large outdoor pool and epic beach views from most of their rooms. This hotel is located at San Juan beach, a 10-minute drive from Alicante.
- Urban Hotel by MC – this is very reasonably priced considering its location in the central district. The rooms are clean and minimally styled, and there are loads of bars & restaurants nearby!
- My Flats Luxury Downtown – luxurious self-catering apartment with a terrace.
